As 2015 draws to a close (we cannot believe how quickly time can fly by!) we thought we’d have a look back at our Celebrity Wedding Dress Round-Ups and pull out our favourites. After all, this could be the perfect inspiration for any bride-to-be who got engaged over the holidays! And if that’s you, a massive congratulations!
Our first wedding dress round-up was in July the month when Nicky Hilton; Vanessa Williams; Mila Kunis; and Peter Andre all tied the knot. Theres’ still no official pictures of what Mila chose to wear on her big day, but our speculative post about what designer she may have worked with has been our most read blog post to date! We still remember when she totally wowed at the 2011 Oscars in her Elie Saab gown so still believe this may have been the chosen one…
In August there was more time to play, “guess what the bride wore?”, as social media went crazy in the hope that the dress Jennifer Aniston wore to marry Justin Theroux had been leaked online…
…However, it proved to be a hoax by bridal designer Dimities Daliaand using a Jen look-a-like!
Our favourite “real” celebrity look of the month was model Jacqui Ainsley when she married Guy Ritchie at their beautiful country estate in Wiltshire, England on 30th July. She chose to wear a stunning couture wedding dress by designer Phillipa Lepley for the outdoor ceremony and we were so in love with the beautiful floral crown she chose to give the traditional gown a more bohemian feel!
Our favourite bridal look from September (the month that saw YouTuber Tanya Burr and model Bar Refaeli get married) belonged to Girls star Allison Williams when she married her fiancé Ricky Van Veen. Allison wore a beautiful couture A-line gown by Oscar de la Renta that featured an intricate lace detail across the skirt and the same lace motif detail across the sleeves and sheer neckline. Her look was completed with a tulle cathedral-length veil striking the perfect balance of ‘traditional with a modern twist’.
November was a super stylish month for brides with none other than fashionistas Mary-Kate Olsen and Whitney Port saying their, “I do’s”. Super sexy Sofia Vergara added her usual va-va-voom (cannot believe I use that phase but it works when describing Sofia!) when she married Joe Manganiello. Never one to shy away from a red carpet look, Sophia chose to wear a strapless Zuhair Murad gown with sweetheart neckline and cinched in waist to make the most of her stunning curves. However, our favourite wedding day look belonged to Whitney Port. Her beautiful custom-made, pearl embellished, high/low hem wedding dress by Ashi Studio was so unique and fashion forward and totally inspired us to find this ‘lookalike gown’ to blog about.
This month the most stylish and beautiful bride had to be Christine Bleakley when she married football player Frank Lampard. This was not a stereotypical WAG-do, and instead looked classy and sophisticated. We love the intricate lace detail of her Suzanne Neville gown and the fit and flare shape was just perfect on her.
We cannot wait to see what looks the Celebrity Brides of 2016 will be wearing! Can you?
