Fifty Shades Of Green

Recent research from high street chain Coast found that Purple is the most popular colour for Brides to choose for their bridesmaids, while Green is the least popular.

In colour therapy, Green is an emotionally positive color, giving us the ability to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally.

So as a wedding colour, we think it’s actually quite sad that this is overlooked.

In fact, we believe Green can be a great colour choice considering all the possible shades on offer from soft mint green and sage in the spring; bright and vibrant ocean green in the summer and rich emeralds and forest greens in the autumn/winter. So in W&B style, we’ve pulled together some sophisticated and stylish ideas for brides wanting to embrace a Green colour scheme – not just bridesmaids dresses; we’ve looked at flowers; cakes; decor and even the Wedding Dress!

This Jenny Packham dress is jaw-dropping….. It’s actually the best-selling ‘Joy’ design but with the addition of emerald green sequins – a perfect example of customising a dress your way.

And if you don’t fancy a full-on Green dress, why not make like our favourite style icon Olivia Palermo who teamed her bridal skirt with a soft cashmere mint green sweater. Double-points for rocking a stunning high-low hem as well. God, we wish we had her wardrobe..
