With the likes of Whitney Port, Sophia Vergara and Mary-Kate Olsen getting married last month, it seems that winter is a super stylish time of the year to tie the knot.
The month kicked off when former Hills star Whitney Port married her fiancé Tim Rosenman on 7 November in Palm Springs, California. We’ve already obsessed over her beautiful custom-made, pearl embellished, high/low hem wedding dress by Ashi Studio and even found a ‘lookalike gown’ . We’re still totally in love with this look for a relaxed, modern wedding and predict a rise in high/low hems for 2016/17 brides (although maybe not as extreme). They’re a great option for brides who want to show off their footwear – as Whitney does!

You’d have to be living under a rock (or at least not look at social media!) to have missed the nuptials of Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello as they tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in Florida in front of 300 guests.
Never one to shy away from a red carpet look, Sophia chose to wear a strapless Zuhair Murad gown with sweetheart neckline and cinched in waist to make the most of her stunning curves.
We love the way this dress is traditional but still gives a nod to the sexy va-va-voom we’re use to seeing on Sophia.
At the end of the month Mary-Kate Olsen married her banker finance Olivier Sarkozy (half -brother to the former French President). According to reports it was an “intimate Manhattan ceremony” with “bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes” (interesting wedding favours….) While there are no images of the dress, the fashionista does have two fashion lines including The Row, so she knows a thing or two about fashion. We wonder if her wedding dress combined her Bo-ho look with Parisian chic?
Mary-Kate hasn’t disappointed in the white dress department in the past. Our favourite look of hers was certainly the stunning open back Dolce & Gabbana number she wore to the 2009 MET Costume Institute Gala. (Brownie points for the amazing smokey eye!)

And on the subject of the Olsen Twins, here’s a fact for you. My claim to fame is that they both laughed at me when a friend dropped a whole bottle of sunscreen all over me on a beach in California. (Not the best celebrity story, but a celebrity story none the less!)
