This weeks Wedding Dress Wednesday was inspired by my recent trip to Slovenia. We stayed at a place called Lake Bled which was absolutely stunning and I couldn’t stop marvelling at the sheer beauty of my surroundings. Although it was cold it was also incredibly sunny and in my opinion there is nothing better than being wrapped up warm, the sun shining on your face but having that fresh mountain air that makes you feel alive (anyway I clearly digress!)
The reason that trip inspired today’s selection was because the hint of blue running through the intricate French lace reminded me of the sun hitting the water and the crisp winters air. Designed by Katja Katja Shehurina, this ‘Sabine’ dress gives that magical reflective quality, with the embellished hemmed train highlighting the fine Swarovski elements.
This feminine design is now part of their ‘Venice Collection’ but it was originally created exclusively for Brides Magazine.
All of Katja Katja Shehurina’s vintage inspired dresses are handmade in their studio and can be customised specifically to each bride. The beautiful capped sleeves and drop back get me every time, so if you are looking for a classical relaxed bridal look with a modern twist then this is for you!
