I make no secret (or apology) for my love of shoes, and I am fortunate enough to have a few pairs of designer heels in my wardrobe. One of my most prized pairs (and also the most painful!) are my Christian Louboutin high heeled pumps, which is why I was so excited when the brand launched their beauty line – an exquisite selection of lipsticks and nail polish.
At £65 a lipstick (no, that’s not a typo!) it’s definitely priced at the higher end of the beauty market. Each lipstick is housed in a beautiful sleek presentation case lined in the signature Louboutin red. The lipstick bullet itself is a thing of beauty (so much so they provide a ribbon should you want to wear it as a necklace…yeah, not sure about that either!)
JUST LOOK AT IT! Stunning.
The colour I have, ‘Just Nothing’ is part of the velvet matte range (they also have satin finish lipsticks, a sheer formula and a liquid formula). I can say that Just Nothing is a perfect nude colour – it’s the right blend of pink and brown; it glides on smoothly and is so comfortable on the lips, not drying at all. It also lasts really well. There’s no denying it’s a quality product, but is it worth the price tag?… Hmmm…
…There are now so many budget brands currently killing it in the beauty industry (the Rimmel Kate Moss nudes collection stands out as a fab dupe) so in today’s market you don’t need to spend a small fortune. BUT…
… If you can afford it – it’s a fab treat; it will look so stylish when you touch up your lippie in public, and it provides a touch of luxury to your everyday makeup routine. If you want to buy into the Louboutin brand at a lower price point, it’s a great way to go.
For a bride on her wedding day wanting something a little special, I would certainly recommend as it will give you the perfect bridal nude lip and will last through champagne and kisses. It could even be a lovely thoughtful bridesmaid gift too.

Certainly not a necessity but a great bit of everyday luxury
