Luxe Luggage | Honeymoon Style

Ted Baker Harlly Suitcase Ted Baker- Harlly - Oriental Blossom

Honeymoons are a tricky one…some people decide to jet off on the evening of their wedding (I don’t personally understand this because surely you’d want to party with everyone and you have paid enough for the privilege!), others leave the next day, some leave it a few weeks and many nowadays leave it 6 months plus.

Many of our friends wanted a Summer wedding in Britain but their desired honeymoon destination was experiencing monsoon season, so they had no choice but to wait it out, and I suppose it also prolongs the celebrations!  I got married in December so tropical destinations weren’t a problem (we chose Hawaii with a stop in San Francisco and it was AMAZING but that’s a whole other post!)

The reason for today’s post on luggage is I overlooked it when we went on our honeymoon as a practical necessity, but instead I should of considered it as a long lasting reminder of a fantastic wedding and a great investment!  Thankfully Jon’s parents hadn’t been as naive and they bought us his and hers Tripp suitcases, which to this day make me smile every time we go on holiday!

I therefore decided to round up a variety of honeymoon luggage options, from fashion forward to practically perfect. I’ve included mine on the list as they have been really great, particularly as they have 4 wheels and can be slid across the floor with great speed when we are about to miss our flight! So here goes…

For those that want luggage like mine…

For those who love luxe…

For those that love leather…

For those that are practical…

For those that love a splash of colour…

For those that want to stand out…

For those that have an endless supply of money…

For those that travel light…

For those that want pretty…

For those going on an adventure…

If you really want to up the ante then I’ve just seen that Samsonite are currently offering free laser engraving as an online exclusive.  You could get your names and the date you got married, you could go practical and have your contact details, or go a little bit hippy and go with a motto…

Whatever luggage you decide to buy…have a fabulous honeymoon!
