Summer Wedding Guest Style | The Prettiest Dresses In The Sale Now

Summer Wedding Guest Dresses in the sale now

While the shops prepare themselves for their autumn/winter collections and magazines and blogs start talking about what to buy for the colder weather, the rest of us aren’t quite ready to give up summer, after all, we have almost a whole month to go.

Okay, so the weather might not play ball, but it should still be summer! So for those who have an August wedding to attend, and still want to embrace the summer trends you’re in luck as a lot of things are in the sale now! Money saved to buy a cardi! (I just used the word “cardi”, I really am a Mum!)

From Top Left to Right: Red AQ/AQ Dress | Mint Lace Dress | Black & Blue Dress | Pink Origami Dress

First up I’m a big fan of AQ/AQ they always seem to manage to give an edgy but wearable twist to their clothes,  usually in the way they are cut. I love the keyhole front and the ruffle detail along the hem to balance it.  While this is from their Winter 2016 collection, the ruffles and frills keep it relevant for this summer. To be honest, I can see this lasting you through until NYE and at less than £50, you can’t argue with it.

We’ve featured this mint dress before (see Kate’s post here) and we saw that it got a lot of love the first time around. We figure it will get even more love now it’s reduced to under £150! With the pretty graphic guipere lace detailing, this dress will definitely wow!

I do have mixed opinions about wearing black to a wedding.  It’s not a straight up “no no” like white, but I’m not so keen.  However, with pops of colour and styled in the right way, it can work.  Plus, it gets more bang for your buck as you could wear it through to winter.  This Diane Von Furstenberg number will work equally well teamed with heels for an event and biker boots for the day.

This pink dress with its bardot neckline, off-shoulder cut and folded origami front is not going to be for everyone.  But it does encompass a lot of the summer trends and if you want something a bit different and that no one else will wear, this is a good choice.  Just keep accessories to a minimum.

From Top Left to Right: Dolce & Gabbana Floral Dress | Red Lace Dress | Rose Mini Dress | Foxidox Dress

This Dolce & Gabbana dress is expensive, but is almost half price!  It’s beautifully cut, made from a beautiful silk-chiffon and is incredibly flattering.  This could be fabulous for a Mother of the Bride who’s looking for a splurge.

This Self-Portrait midi dress is cut from the brand’s signature guipure lace with the fitted bodice framed by ruffled georgette trims. The waistline is very flattering and would look great at a wedding (although with this style, if you’re blessed in the bosom department the “girls” could potentially be a flight risk – word of warning!).

I’m in love with this Needle & Thread long-sleeve mini dress. So much so if I wasn’t on a necessary post maternity leave budget I’d snap this up for myself! I think this is a great buy as with the dark background to the rose pattern, you could easily wear this to winter events.  You could easily tone down the feminity of it with boots and tights for the day too (Damn my budget!).

Finally, after I said I wasn’t sure about black at weddings, I’ve picked another dress with a dark background. The splashes of colour though make this Foxiedox via ASOS dress summer appropriate and I think it’s a great party piece.
