Nowadays there seems to be an app for everything – fitness, news, games, recipes, the list is endless. Every bride-to-be will know you are inundated with suggestions from friends, family and blogs about how best to plan your wedding (some being pretty good and some reeeeally bad, especially when your mum got married in the 70’s when times have clearly changed!).
Well, here are our top wedding apps which we found to be extremely useful, invaluable in fact, to not only get inspiration from but to help on the big day too.
Not only does this app help with planning and budgeting, but you can also create your own wedding website which sits on the app – 24/7 access for your guests to browse your wedding details at their leisure. This is a personal favourite of mine as I used it for my wedding and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
They even have website and app design templates created by famous designers e.g. Carolina Herrera
Okay, so you may of heard of Pinterest before but I never realised its potential until I started planning my wedding – it totally came into its own. So much so that I tracked down my wedding dress from a pin I saw on Pinterest and travelled half way across the UK to their supplier! Happy pinning!
In the 90’s this would of been the good old disposable camera on every table. Now it comes in the form of an app so this is for all the couples that want their guests to share their wedding moments on the day. In our opinion it’s a lot better than a dedicated hashtag on Twitter as it’s private (I know people who have mixed up hashtags with other couples – admin nightmare!), you can download the photos really easily and it also includes video.
We had to throw a bit of retail therapy in here! Etsy ended up becoming my one stop shop for quirky table additions, bridesmaid gifts and accessories. It makes your wedding that little bit more personal, with the majority of items being handmade. Although we are warning you, once you shop there you can’t stop!
