You may recognise the name Naeem Khan from the pages of high end glossy magazines, not necessarily from the world of bridal, but gracing the fashion pages and worn on the limbs of the A-list.
We’re not just talking wanna-be A-lists either – Kate Middleton, Jennifer Lopez, Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence to name a few. But recently his designs have been recognised in bridal, launched in 2013, and his 2017 collection is divine!
Born and raised in Mumbai, India he learnt his craft from his grandfather and father, both of whom designed clothes worn by Indian royal families. He moved to the US as a teenager to follow his dream of becoming a designer in his own right and started an apprentice for American designer Halston.
His designs and reputation then went from strength to strength and he was inducted as a member of prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2008. Today his bridal collections are sold at more than 100 retail outlets around the world.
His 2017 collection has a little something for everyone, from midi-length perfection through to long sleeved bliss and this is the dress I have chosen today. The chic, sophisticated and stunning aptly named Palace.
Usually I don’t recommend brides wearing their hair up for a wedding but this dress needs that severity up top to make it shine in all its glory! Although it looks more of a winter number, actually the fabric is so slight and elegant that you could wear this for all seasons (especially when looking out the window today and seeing grey!).
